I love to use my Zoom H-5 recorder and capture nature sounds; waterscapes most significantly. I use them as inspiration for creative works or simply to create a peaceful atmosphere. I recorded these waves at Little Talbot Island State Park, Jacksonville, Florida. Each original composition was improvised on the piano using this aural setting. This one is about 8 mins long. It is titled a meditation for 2 main reasons: 1) When improvising the piece, the soundscape was my only inspiration. 2) There is 1 minute of silence in the middle of the piece, inviting the listener to have their own moment alone with this beautiful atmosphere. Whether you simply watch or listen, it will help create a space conducive for meditation.
